Walking on Fire and Water in Bulgaria

The thrills of Sofia weren't standard tourist attractions. Instead they were all these funky little things we stumbled across.

Case in point: My favorite thing we did was climb into these giant plastic balls and walk on this pond. It was like being in a human-sized hamster ball, but on water. Totally hilarious and awesome.

Here I am inside the ball as they're starting to inflate it.
Walking on water!
And now we battle each other!

Another highlight was a restaurant that we ate at where they had a traditional Bulgarian folk show. That included:
Music and dancing
For the grand finale, a man spread out burning hot coals in a pit and he and a woman walked on them with their bare feet while holding a religious icon. I have no idea how that works but it was crazy!
In conclusion, come to Bulgaria if you want to walk on things you never thought you could walk on before.
